A little explanation

A large part of the impetus for starting this blog, apart from the suitability of blog format for my planned epic epistolary novel, came from the digitisation of my clutter. I’m going through years of notes and papers and photographing them (wot is scanner?) and then shredding the originals and getting them the fuck out of my house. Don’t worry, I’m sure I’ll fill up those empty drawers with new clutter soon.

Anyway, in the process of turning my treasured unfiled scribbles into treasured unindexed photographs, I am discovering not everything I’ve written in the last ten years is completely shit. So I’ve departed from my usual habit of creating a single-topic blog that I rapidly lose interest in and instead made this epic blog based on nothing but the sheer force of my pseudonymous personality and my mad writing skillz.

IT EXCITES ME, KIDS. I have never blogged consistently before, but now I reckon I can, with this blog and my little clutter-reduction project. But it does mean that when I run out of literary genius you will end up reading monographs on the subject of How My Cat Is A Pain In The Arse Today, and some emo drivel from five years ago about How University Is Shite. But hopefully by the time I reach that point, I will have a bevy of clever, sophisticated readers who regularly leave comments with suggestions for topics they would like me to write about.

Yeah, well, it’s a dream, isn’t it?
